Step Outdoors — or into the Garden Room

I’ve searched out some outdoor seating that’s interesting, fun, and – yes – colorful.

1. The Ami chair from the Ami collection of Paola Lenti has a chenille-soft, all-weather fabric.
2. Francis Elkins’ chair in steel as interpreted by Downtown.
3. The Blankö Chair from IKEA, made of steel with polyester powdercoating, is stackable and affordable: $19.99 at the time of this post.
4. From Conran: the Bistro Metal Folding Chair in Apple Green. Also available in Lemon Yellow.
5. Also from Conran, the Vegetal Chair in red; comes also in green.
6. Wing Chair from the Richard Schultz Wing Collection.
7. The Adirondack Chair from Design Within Reach (DWR), is especially eco-friendly. It’s made of 100% recycled polyethylene (from milk jugs) – so it’s not only recycled, it’s recyclable. Fade-resistant, waterproof, maintenance free.
8. The Go Loveseat, also from DWR, is likewise made of recycled plastic reclaimed from used milk jugs. The material has a natural “give”, so it’s comfortable.
9. The Emu 565 Re-Trouvé chair was designed by Patricia Urquiola. Urquiola “takes a classic design and reinterprets it with extreme irony.” Made using Emu’s “advanced technology in working with metal.”
