As an interior designer and color consultant my experience working with interior spaces  and clients has provided opportunity to grow in my understanding of the effects, impacts, and results of colors in interiors.

In addition, I am continually researching and expanding my knowledge and understanding of color theory and related topics.

In the years following obtaining a bachelors degree in art and design I continued to work in various paint mediums. Working with paint, a subtractive color medium, has given me a strong background in understanding the results of mixing of paint colors.

More Important: About This Blog

I created this blog to talk about color as it relates to interior spaces. A lot of my intent is to present ideas and information that will be useful to do-it-yourself homeowners, students of interior design, and even experienced interior designers who may find some new information.

In my first posts began by talking about some basics of color theory and color terminology. Blog posts continue to introduce further discussion of these ideas and how they relate to working with color in interior spaces. This blog is about rooms, products, individual colors and color combinations. Color use in an historical perspective will sometimes be a focus. News items will appear from time-to-time. I’ll include some fun topics.
